I seen the most wicked symphony a couple weekends ago at the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, TN. Nashville is about 3 hours from my home in Memphis. I took my best friend from high school to see the Pokemon Symphonic Evolution’s concert for her birthday. We spent the night there and also had time to go to Nashville Shores twice, which is their water park.
This symphony was one of the most creative things I’ve witnessed in a while. There was at least 2,000 people that came out for this thing. Now my best friend is obsessed with Pokemon. She is 24 years old, and her favorite thing is Pikachu. If you happen to not know what Pokemon is, I hope you take the time to learn about it. I’ve been playing Pokemon my whole life. Seen every movie and just about beat every game. This present was a once in a lifetime thing for me to find with the right timing.
They symphony was huge, and we were almost on front row seats. They had huge screens on the side of the stage that played clips from every Pokemon game that was ever created. They played every theme song from each game and it was just amazing. There was nothing else like it. I was so surprised that I enjoyed myself to the fullest.
At the very end of the concert, they played the best song ever. It is called Gotta Catch Em All. The audience joined in while the symphony played. It was the best feeling being able to sing that song along with the melody. It brought back great childhood memories of when I was a child. If this symphony ever comes to town again, I will definitely attend again.
