Thankful Sunday

And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do all that you ask, for all my fellow townsmen know that you are a worthy woman. — Ruth 3:11

I’m going to do a mix of Scripture Sunday today, with a special edition of Thankful Sunday.

The thing I am most thankful for is my life. And I’m so glad that God let and chose the parents I have now to bring me into this life.

Ruth happens to be one of my favorite books in the Bible. This verse hits hard.

And everyone has a different meaning of certain verses in the Bible and we all interprete things differently.

My parents would do anything for me, and I couldn’t thank them enough for all that they have done for me. They are my best friends. I get my feelings hurt if my mother doesn’t call me everyday! Haha, so believe me when I say they are some of my best friends. They are what I’m thankful for. All the time. Not just today!

I am a worthy woman. I am worthy of ones love. But most of all I am worthy of my own love.

Also, Ruth showed so much kindness. She is a worthy woman to not be swayed in such directions. She is a kind and worthy woman. I want to be like her. I want to have a good conscious about myself and a good relationship with the Lord. She laid at his feet (Boaz) and gave herself for the word of God. I don’t know about y’all, but I would do anything for my husband.

I’m not into all that feminism stuff. Yes I love that we as women have rights, but when it comes to my husband, I don’t like to be better than him. Honestly I don’t even care if I’m equal. I just want to make him happy, because making him happy makes me happy. Ruth I think is a great model.

And this quote hits hard. You are worthy. Kind and worthy. That’s the person I want to be. And my parents raised me to be that way and I am thankful for them.

Naomi was Ruth’s influencer. My parents always taught me to be kind and I became worthy from being kind.

So key point of the breakdown. Always appreciate what you have. And always be kind. Keep your word and live life the way God would want you too. You only have one life. Wouldn’t you want to live it the best that you could?
